Yeast infections are not fun. They itch horribly. When it itches it is more often than not at the most inopportune moment. There are several ways one can handle the treatment of a yeast infection.
The first option is to go to a doctor and have him or her confirm that, "Yes, you do indeed have a yeast infection. Here's your prescription. That'll be $120. See the receptionist before you leave." For those of us that have been around long enough to know when we have it, there are some things we can do at home to avoid the doctor's office. That is, beyond the usual exercise-diet-avoid these foods speech..
If you're like me, you get an infection when you are taking antibiotics. You have probably been assaulted with yeast on a weekend. Well, now what? With that in mind, you need a way to treat this condition in an emergency.
Here then are 4 ways to attempt to bypass the trip to the doctor's office.
1. Apple Cider Vinegar- This works for some of us. It usually depends on the severity of the yeast infection. A couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in eight ounces of water, three times a day might work for you. I've found relief does come, but slowly. The douche never really gave me long-lasting relief. It might work for you. Who really knows?
2. Garlic-Yes, that's right. This is not the most pleasant remedy. It's messy, it stings, and you've got to make sure everyone in the house eats something that has too much garlic in it so that they aren't put off by you smelling like an Italian diner. You, however, will not be eating it.
3. Salt bath-Yes this works for mild cases. I've never had much luck with it when it comes to fighting the yeast after a round of antibiotics. It offers quick relief, however temporary.
4. Plain Yogurt- To do this right you need to plan ahead, cancel appointments, and have someone who will stay around to help. This would be a friend, indeed! Most will head for the hills, decide they had something else planned, or maybe take up a new hobby that just has to be studied in a foreign country. In spite of this, it really does work for most of us.
The last home remedy for yeast infections is very involved and time consuming. I can say that relief is almost immediate. If I follow all of the application instructions to the letter it usually results in a results in a complete reversal of the yeast infection.Click Here!
