The R4 card is a perfect example of today's evolving technology. The power of multimedia such as games, music, and videos can be easily stored in mass sizes on this small chip. Nintendo, for example, has taken hold of this useful tool and allows their consoles easy accessibility with these devices. If you want to use their consoles for anything different than its intended purpose, you'll have to learn the ropes of these cards. Once you have, you'll enjoy your time cruising tunes and the latest movies on your DS.
What is the R4?
The R4 card is a very special piece of hardware that comes from many different makers, brands, and available languages, meaning you have a huge selection in your choice. If you're all about quality you'll find a card that's just right for you before too long. Luckily the cards are all easily compatible with other languages and brands, so there will be no barriers between consumers with different tastes. The card is fairly small, but data-wise it is much larger than the appearance leads on.
What about the Micro SD?
As small as the R4 card is, it's really even smaller. The back of the card contains a slot where the micro SD card is held. This is where all the information and media is stored. The larger case is so that the card can easily be inserted in consoles, computers, and cameras alike. It just goes to show how much power we can store within the smallest of confines. The first of the R4 cards used a spring-like section for popping the Micro-SD card in and out of its slot. However, over time this method was proven to malfunction more often than not and began costing valuable customers. The newest of the R4 cards uses a simple push slot where the card can be inserted and pulled out with ease.
Pop in and pop up
If you're using it in a device such as the Nintendo Wii, you'll be treated to a nice little menu when the R4 card is inserted in the appropriate slot. Just like on a computer, this menu will display the current card's memory and a list of the available information stored within it. From that point you can access all you have saved; meaning movies, games, music, etc. all branch from this menu. The options are endless when it comes to what you can manage after you buy R4 card. You may not have a Nintendo or need the card for that purpose, but it is only an example of what the card is capable of.
The internet
Like with many other electronics, the internet is becoming a great place to buy R4 and have them shipped to your house. It becomes more important to watch out for scams and tricks, but if you look hard enough you can get great deals from individuals and companies alike. Be careful with who you trust your purchasing power with. Research anyone and if things seem shady, don't risk your money.
